For the 2019 portraits, beloved photographer Michael Rowe snapped stars like Ava DuVernay, Angela Bassett, Yvonne Orji, Dewanda Wise, Spike Lee, and more! The vibrant and colorful backdrop — inspired by the artful images of Malik Sidibe was created by artist Makeba “KEEBS” Rainey — was the perfect pairing against Hollywood’s brightest stars.
