On Saturday Sept 24th, 2016 the National Museum of African American Culture and History (NMAAHC) officially opened. The NMAAHC is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. To mark the grand opening of the museum, a dedication ceremony was held with thousands in attendance in a star-studded ceremony.
