TV Show: Ledisi’s Njema Helena Monica Dress on The Queen Latifah Show
I was watching The Queen Latifah Show last night at 1 a.m. after The Wendy Williams Show on BET, and noticed Ledisi was going to perform on the show. I was tempted to change the channel, but I kept watching the show. A few moments later, Ledisi graced the stage in an ankara print dress. I looked closer and said out loud, “Wait! I have that dress.”
It’s not normal to see someone on TV wearing the same dress you have in your closet, especially if it’s an ankara print dress.
Ledisi is wearing an Njema Helena Monica Dress from their Fall 2013 Travels Collection. She is performing the song ‘Like This’ off her latest album, The Truth .
 
The dress was purchased from Njema Helena’s exclusive U.S. stockist, Nubian Hueman in my hometown Washington, D.C.
I was nominated for Accessories Designer of the Year at Emerge Fashion Awards Maryland 2014 and wore the dress to the event. Check out the outfit post on my blog here.
